Warranty Policy
Rover X1 After-Sales Service & Warranty Policy
I. Preamble
To protect the legitimate rights and interests of consumers, these After-Sales Service & Warranty Policies (hereinafter referred to as "the Policies") are formulated in compliance with relevant national laws and regulations of European Union (EU) Member States, applicable consumer protection legislation in the European Economic Area (EEA), and relevant federal and state consumer protection laws in the United States of America (USA).
These Policies apply to Rover X1 all-round intelligent quadruped companion robots (hereinafter referred to as "the Product") sold and used within the territory of the EU, EEA, and USA. The warranty service provided herein is an additional guarantee to consumers' statutory rights and does not exclude or limit consumers' statutory rights under applicable laws of the respective regions.
II. Warranty & Return/Exchange Periods
1. Statutory Conformity Guarantee Period
Consumers are entitled to a statutory conformity guarantee period for the Product, which is differentiated by product components and regions. During this period, if the Product (or its components) does not conform to the contract of sale (e.g., performance failures due to inherent quality defects), consumers may request the seller to repair or replace the non-conforming part free of charge in accordance with regional regulations. If repair or replacement is not feasible or disproportionately expensive, consumers may request a reduction in the purchase price or termination of the contract (refund) as permitted by applicable laws.
1.1 Main Part
The "Main Part" refers to the core functional components of the Product that are not classified as Wearable Parts, including but not limited to internal electronic control units, drive motors, transmission systems, core circuit boards, sensor modules, and other components that are essential for the basic operation and core performance of the Product.
- EU & EEA Region: 2-year warranty from the date of product delivery.
- USA Region: 1-year warranty from the date of product delivery.
1.2 Wearable Parts
Wearable Parts refer to consumable components that are prone to normal wear and tear during daily use. The warranty period for Wearable Parts is uniform across regions, covering 3 months from the date of product delivery. The specific list includes:
- Robot Foot Ends/Tires
- Robot Quick-Fix Bridges
- Robot Body Shells (Head/Tail/Body/Bumper)
- Robot Thigh Shells
- Robot Thigh Protective Soft Rubber
1.3 Accessories
Accessories include Charger, Charging Cable, and Controller. The warranty period for these accessories is consistent with the warranty period of the Main Part in the corresponding region and is subject to the same terms as the Main Part.
2. Right of Withdrawal (Cooling-Off Period)
2.1 EU & EEA Region
Consumers who purchase the Product through distance selling (e.g., online stores, mail order) or off-premises selling are entitled to a 14-day cooling-off period without giving any reason. The cooling-off period starts from the day on which the consumer, or a third party designated by the consumer (other than the carrier), takes possession of the Product.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, consumers shall notify INFFNI or the seller in writing (including electronic means) within the cooling-off period and return the Product undamaged, free of usage traces, with original packaging, manuals, and all accessories complete and in a resalable condition. INFFNI or the seller shall refund the full purchase price to the consumer within 14 days of receiving the returned Product, using the same payment method as the consumer used for the original transaction.
2.2 USA Region
Consumers who purchase the Product through distance selling (e.g., online stores, mail order) are entitled to the right of withdrawal in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Mail, Internet, or Telephone Order Merchandise Rule and applicable state laws. Generally, consumers may cancel the purchase within the statutory cooling-off period without giving any reason.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, consumers shall notify INFFNI or the seller in writing (including electronic means) within the statutory period and return the Product undamaged, free of usage traces, with original packaging, manuals, and all accessories complete and in a resalable condition. INFFNI or the seller shall refund the full purchase price to the consumer within 14 days of receiving the returned Product, using the same payment method as the consumer used for the original transaction, unless otherwise specified by applicable state laws.
III. Calculation Rules for the Start Date of Guarantees
The start date of the warranty period (including Main Part, Wearable Parts, and Accessories) shall be calculated in accordance with the following rules for both EU/EEA and USA regions:
1. For brand-new genuine Products purchased through official INFFNI channels or officially authorized sales channels in the corresponding region, the start date shall be the date of delivery of the Product as indicated on the consumer's valid purchase documents (e.g., invoice, delivery note, order confirmation).
2. If the consumer is unable to provide valid purchase documents specifying the delivery date, INFFNI's official authorized service centers in the corresponding region will determine the start date based on the Product's sales date verified through the official sales system.
3. If the Product's sales date cannot be verified, the start date of the guarantees shall be the Product's manufacturing date plus 90 days. If the period from the Product's launch date to the date of the consumer's request for service is less than 90 days, the Product's launch date shall be used as the start date of the guarantees.
IV. Exclusions from Warranty, Return and Exchange Services
1. The following scenarios are excluded from the scope of free warranty, return and exchange services. This exclusion does not affect consumers' statutory rights for non-conforming products:
2. Product identification information (such as serial number, barcode, model) has been altered, defaced, torn off or damaged, making it impossible to verify the Product's identity.
3. Damage or failure caused by intentional or negligent acts of the consumer or third parties, including but not limited to improper use (e.g., dropping, squeezing, liquid immersion, violent operation), use in environments not recommended by the Product Manual (e.g., extreme temperature, humidity, dusty or corrosive environments), or failure to follow the operating instructions, maintenance and storage requirements specified in the Product Manual.
4. Damage or failure caused by abnormal voltage, power surges, power outages or other electrical supply issues not caused by defects in the Product itself.
5. Damage or failure caused by disassembly, modification, repair or maintenance performed by personnel who are not authorized by INFFNI or INFFNI's official authorized service organizations.
